It is located in the
southern section of the city named Seagull (or Gaivota
in Portuguese) almost near the border of Peruíbe. Its
waters are pure, even though dark, of tea color. Its
estuary is located on the Seagull Beach across from an
islet also called Seagull - which is a good diving spot
when the waters are clear. Many people enjoy fishing on
the beach. There are hotel, pousadas (Kind of Small
Hotels) and restaurants nearby.
The volume of the
waters vary according to the rains and the season. The
place has an unbelievable vastness, very impressing.
Views from the forest that surrounds the corner,
presenting solitary palm tress near and far, the Sea
Mountain Range and the one of Juréia. The blue and
greenish heights of the mountains seem to fall abruptly
into the sea. Excellent place for a trip with the whole
family and for the ones looking for peace and
tranquility.
