The Country Club is
located in the rural section of the city named Colonel
Garden (Jardim Coronel), on the banks of the Black
River. That's a beautiful corner, presenting a dense
vegetation of the Atlantic Forest and beaches of
white sands, where the tourists can bathe in the pure
waters of the Black River. The place has a wharf where
most tourist boats stop by.
There's a bar serving meals, snacks and beverages.
Kayaks and boats for renting.
The birds from the
Atlantic forest present a spectacle of their own. There
are colorful butterflies all around, specially the
Brazilian Blue Butterflies which wings shine as jewels
under the tropical sun. As they fly around the tall
tress, they make a paradisiacal atmosphere of rare
beauty. Roads of white sands look like mysterious paths
lost amongst the forest, seeming to lead to nowhere
towards the Sea Mountain Range. The perennial silence of
this place takes us to the time of the Tupiniquim
Indians who had many tribes around Itanhaém in the 16th
century. Birds are heard singing here and faraway in the
forest. Besides taking a boat ride to the Country Club,
the place can also be reached trough roads. Public
transportation is currently available.
