The Liver Eater (Papa-Figo) eats the childrens' livers what the loves the most and he is also is the werewolf of the city. He's a walker, an old black man, dirty and wearing tattered clothes, carrying a bag or nothing at all, eager to kidnap the children in order to eat their livers or to sell them to the rich lepers. He is tall and skinny. In other Brazilian regions is seen as a pale man always bearded.

He goes out at night, or in the evenings. He takes advantage of the hours when the children are leaving the school, the gardens where the girls are dating their boyfriends, the shaded parks. He attracts the children making faces, with gestures or mimics, showing toys, giving fake messages or promising to take the children to a place where there are many beautiful things.
